No Olympics for Boston

The idea of Boston bidding to bring the Olympics to the city was deeply scrutinized by many. However, the idea at the forefront seems like a really awesome idea but the implications with it are not. The projected cost to bring the Olympics to Boston was a staggering 15 billion dollars, which is ridiculous considering the fact that taxpayers will be paying for it. Not to mention the fact that this money could be going towards low-income communities within Boston, improving transit systems, etc. If the Olympics were brought here it would be a complete mess, the congestion would  be astronomical. Boston hotel's are already at 90% capacity during the summer months, so they would have to build more lodging-which we have no room for. On top of that think about how poorly the MBTA performed during the winter storms last year, when problems arose they were absolutely inept on trying to come up with solutions. What is going to happen when millions of people gather and something goes wrong with the transit system, I have no faith that it will be fixed. Lastly, I feel as though that our national security will be threatened with the overflow of people, the last thing we need is another Boston Marathon bombing. The Olympics in Boston would be cool, but it is simply not feasible.
